Haderslev Kommune

The district council in Haderslev has increased the focus on climate and sustainability.

As a part of the Realdania project, DK2020, we are in the development process of an ambitious climate plan to be passed by the end of 2022. The economic means for the next four years have been set aside to carry the strategy out.

We are working to make our vehicle fleet carbon neutral, deliver green waste solutions, and sustainable wastewater solutions in collaboration with our public utility company, solve climate challenges in the cities and aid the climate with lowland and marine environment projects, such as stone reefs in Lillebælt and Haderslev Fjord. The city development project, Jomfrustien, in Haderslev is an example of how we sustainably solve climate challenges.

We are invested in green energy and beyond three larger biogas facilities, we are also preparing areas for wind turbines energy and solar panel parks in our strategic planning. An important initiative is to support Power to X collaboration alongside other valuable players in the Triangle Area as we evolve sources of clean energy.
